My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms, while clean and rather big, had a noticeable musty smell, likely due to the property's age. The service was mostly wonderful, though there seemed to be a small hiccup with special dietary requests. The location was fantastic, overlooking the river and mountains, and offering easy access to many attractions. The dining experience had its ups and downs, with some meals being really nice and others a letdown. Overall, a decent stay with some room for improvement.

I was delighted with my stay at the hotel. The rooms, while a bit cold at times, were spacious and offered lovely views of the surrounding trees. The service was exceptional, with the staff being understanding and kind, going above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience. The location was superb, nestled near the Toshogu shrine in the serene cedar forests of Nikko. The dining options were delicious, although the dinner hours were a bit early for my taste. Overall, a great value for money with outstanding service and a picturesque setting.

The location was superb, right near the Toshogu shrine in the beautiful cedar forests of Nikko, perfect for exploring all the world heritage sites. Close to historical sites with wide monkeys in the area.
